Awesome Tour Details.

We choose preferably for routes, that allows you to take more time where there is so much to relax, and also the time to enjoy yourself and the excellent accommodations we use. Therefore the mileage will be kept as short as possible. We work preferably with owner managed small-scale accommodations, with a good location, where hospitality still means something. Most of these locations and owners we know personally. We are not using other tour operators, but always directly. As a result, we have a direct influence on the route, price and quality, in particular, we will be able to plan and be flexible with independent advice.

Afrikaya History

Founded more than 15 years ago, we have traveled through Southern Africa, Mozambique and my friend Margreet van Belle (owner at Afrikaya Tours) asked me what the name Kaya means? So, I told her and that was decided on the name Afrikaya (Home in Africa)

Sustainable Travel

We always try our best to give to the adventurous the best quality for their money, the best accommodation, guides, vehicles, culture experiences and adventure, nature that they have paid for.

Core Values

Our values go far beyond travelling and adventure. It’s about people, nature and the animals we encounter each day and what does it mean for our future and how can sustain this beauty.

Sustainable Tourism

The three pillars of sustainable tourism are employing environmentally friendly practices (reduce, reuse, recycle); protecting cultural and natural heritage (restoring historic buildings or saving endangered species); and providing tangible social and economic benefits for local communities (ranging from upholding the rights of indigenous peoples to supporting fair wages for employees).

The name Kaya means in Zulu (one of the 11 official languages of South Africa) “House” or “At home”. Afrikaya Leisure Travel, therefore, means “At home in Africa”.
We always remember and listen to our travellers when it comes to new ideas, routes, conditions and what they would love to do on their next trip to Africa! Afrikaya Leisure Travel has the ability to change to the needs of the traveler when needed.
As tour operator this is one of the most difficult things, keep your people happy and let them enjoy life!

From troubled dreams, he found himself transformed in his bed into a horrible vermin. He lay on his armour-like back, and if he lifted his head a little he could see his brown belly, slightly domed and divided by arches into stiff sections.

I have a passion for wildlife and the outdoors; I love people and tell them more about my country.
History will always be a part of us and we could learn so much from that, Travellers pay a lot of
money to visit our African countries and for me it’s personal, to give them the best time of their lives,
therefore they come back to our company with the best-guided tour and organized the company.
