    1. Day 1 Windhoek

      Dag 1 Vlucht

Vlucht naar Windhoek. Aankomst dag 2.

    2. Dag 2 Windhoek

Windhoek is the capital of Namibia and is located in the center of the country. With 230,000 inhabitants, it is even smaller than cities such as Enschede and Apeldoorn (Netherlands) and the city can easily be explored on foot. The center is a mixture of German colonial buildings and modern buildings painted in fresh pastel shades. The Evangelical Lutheran Christ Church in Art Nouveau style is striking. In addition, the alte feste (old fort) and the station are also worth a visit.

    3. Dag 3-4  Namib Naukluft Park – Sossusvlei

From your spacious chalet with beautiful African-looking decors, you have a wonderful view of the surrounding mountains. But of course, you mainly come here for Sossusvlei, the famous dune landscape in Namib Naukuft Park. Even in the spectacular, yellow, brown and sometimes red dune landscape with the beautiful winding shadows, the best time to photograph in the early morning and at sunset. Along the way, there are some famous stopping places including the Sesriem Canyon, Dead Vlei and Dune 45, where you can climb dunes or take a walk.

    4. Dag 5-6-7 Swakopmund

You drive a beautiful route with many views, passes and vast desert to the pleasant coastal town of Swakopmund, the second-largest city in Namibia. The town is surrounded by the Namib Naukluft Park, one of the most beautiful desert wilderness areas in Africa. Just outside Swakopmund, a number of dunes are reserved for recreational purposes. Here you can go sandboarding and quad biking. The desert excursion through Namib Naukluft, with special attention to the special flora and fauna of this unique area, is also recommended. You can also book a boat excursion to look for whales, dolphins, and seals. The flamingos are of course also very special. You can also play golf, go shopping, skydiving or go on a balloon trip or a flight over the desert (to Sossusvlei!). The great thing about Swakopmund is that you can do so much, but also that there is so much choice of restaurants and you can enjoy the beach there.

    5. Dag 8-9 Damaraland

Stop en route at the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, a seal reserve. Due to the versatility of Damaraland, it is one of the most interesting areas of Namibia. You can spot desert rhinos, desert elephants and kudus. Some highlights of Damaraland are Brandberg, Spitzkoppe, Organ pipes, the petrified forest (petrified forest) and of course Twyfelfontein (Doubtful Fountain). More than 2500 rock drawings from the San have been preserved here. The Welwitschia is the longest living desert plant on earth!

    6. Dag 10 Opuwo

Today you will travel to the rugged and unspoiled Kaokoveld, an area with rolling hills and open plains inhabited by the Herreros and Himbas, a proud people who adhere to their traditional culture.

    7. Dag 11-12 Epupa Falls

During your trip to the Epupa Falls, you can spot kudus, ostriches, and springboks. The accommodation offers activities: Himba cultural tour, a sundowner at the waterfall that falls 35 meters down. You can take the most beautiful pictures here early in the morning and late in the afternoon. You can also go hiking, canoeing or river rafting.

    8. Dag 13-14-15 Etosha National Park

Etosha National Park, also known as the ’Great White Place’, is the largest nature park in Africa and was founded in 1907. The park is located in northern Namibia and is almost as large as the Netherlands. Here you can see not only large herds of elephants and black rhinos but also springboks, giraffes, oryxes, zebras, impalas (also the special blackhead), ostriches, hyenas, lions, leopards and cheetahs, and the small Damara Dik-Dik antelope.

    9. Dag 16-17 San Bushmen

From the accommodation, you can take beautiful walks through the countryside. At the bar, there is a water hole that attracts many birds, but also wildlife.

You can make a special excursion that cannot be missed on your Namibia trip: a visit to the San Bushmen. This nomadic population is almost extinct, their language is seen as one of the oldest in the world. The way of life of the remaining San (who only live in the Kalahari) is still very traditional. You can also experience how they search for tracks, hunt, make fire and collect.

    10. Dag 18-19 Erindi Private Game Reserve

If you are interested in game drives and big cats, Erindi should not be missing on your trip. There are countless excursions such as leopard tracking, game drives, and bush walks.

    11. Dag 20-21 Flight

Today you fly from Windhoek back to Amsterdam.
